training update

State-Wide Training (Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel in Wenatchee, WA):
Friday March 27 to Sunday March 29, 2026
The branches of our state are putting on this annual training with a wide range of topics for you. The topics will be focused on the current needs we face in Washington. Come learn during this weekend training from the best, brightest, and the up-and-comers from our state.
Registration Fee will be $175.00 per person
National Business Agent Nick Vafiades and the NALC Region 2 office have arranged for the following training:
Shop Steward Colleges (Camp Huston in Gold Bar, WA):
A weeklong boot camp focusing on non-discipline grievance handling. Work will include reading contractual provisions, making heads or tails of arbitration awards, grievance writing, and other class participation. Please bring a laptop or something similar for the week. As with all Region 2 Steward Colleges, prepare for a lot of work and staying up late, but I promise we’ll make it fun.

Regional RAP Session:
Sunday November 9 to Friday November 14, 2025
The Regional officers, staff, and lackeys (that’s me) will be teaching a wide variety of topics for you to choose from. Whether you are a brand-new steward, want to be active in our union but not as a steward, have one foot already in retirement, or anywhere in between, there will be classes for you. This year it will take place at the Suncadia Resort near Cle Elum, WA.
